My dad's a DJ and we just recently started bringing out the DDR pads with his DJ computer (CD are too dumb to use anymore lol) so at youth dances we let a bunch of kids play DDR at the beginning of the dance. Then the best person versus me and gets utterly destroyed, lol, but that's not the point E10.gif It's more like a bunch of crazy kids rampaging over my pads. I think everyone thinks the reason they're missing arrows is cuz the pads aren't registering so they hit them harder. Needless to say my wonderful thin Konami pads that I got new on Ebay for like $7.50 each aren't doing so well. One is actually still very good but the other the front arrow's sensor is all bunched up and doesn't register very well and some of the other arrows' sensors have drifted a little. I still did a trick mode song almost completely perfect on the pad without taping it down on soft carpet so you can all stop dissing soft pads lol.
But now it's time to get new pads before these ones get completely trashed. I was thinking two ignition 3.0 pads would be good except that's lightyears out of our price range so Ebay it is, lol. Metal pads won't fit in our van with all the other equipement even if we could afford them so don't suggest them. Are there any other pads that have grips so they don't need to be taped down that can really stand up to a beating for quite a while?

I would go for the flux.

the only thing i would fear about bringing it to a party would that you would have a lot of cleaning to do if/when someone spills something on it. If it's water, just let it dry, but soda, you get the fun job of cleaning a sticky residue.
