Lately I've been playing with mods in hope that It'll improve my sight reading, I play using Cross, Alternate, ect.. I'm reduced to playing on medium, and I'm wondering will this really help me?

I want to know how to get better at reading, I know Doubles, and Six panel both help, but do you have any other methods?

Which mods improve your reading? I guess is what I'm asking

Yes, because the world needs another speed mod whore. We're at a desperate shortage.

Anyway, Cel arrows are far easier to read than Metal ones, so you can try that as well.

Yes, because the world ALSO needs more people to whine about speed mod users. We're at a desparate shortage.

Reading arrows on Alternate, Cross, Flip, or whatever is really only going to make you good at reading those specific layouts; it won't help for regular old Overhead or Hallway (at least, not tremendously). The thing that probably helped improve my reading the best was playing StepMania at ridiculously high speeds (even moreso on Hallway). Really, no matter what you do (within reason), you'll get better at sightreading regardless of what you do over time.

Whining and explaining oversaturation are two different things. Maybe someday you'll learn the difference rather than drawing out a long-standing argument.

May you elaborate on this a bit? I used cel for a good while when I began with ITG and ended up switching to metal (in the middle of a tournament actually... it was rather spontaneous). I think the toned down contrast on the arrow outlines (they almost seem thinner) has something to do with my preference but I couldn't say for sure. What makes cel arrows easier to read?

*bump* My fault entirely.
Dizzy DEFINITELY doesn't make it easier.
Same with Beat, Drift, Mini, and Centered.
Cell is nice, especially Robot.

Maybe someday you will learn that what people do with their money on their songs is absolutely none of your business.

My guess is that there's no breakup of the arrow. I think a solid arrow is easier to track and time than an arrow with a pattern on it.

Then again, I've only played Cel since I've started.
