what TX model are you getting. if its a TX4000 or 6000 you dont really have to mod anything except sheet metal mod it or maybe make lexan panels. if you get a TX3000 or 5000 you cant mod it because theres no screws and its almost impossible to take it apart without breaking anything. if you're getting a TX1000 or 2000, you'll have to
-Make Lexan Panels
-Sheet Metal Mod
-move the white box connecting the LEDs
-solder wires if they come disconnected
-get a new Cbox if your breaks down
-maybe rewire with CAT5 wire
if you bought a TX1000 2000 3000 or 5000 god help u lol cause they suck unlesss u mod em (actually tx3000 and 5000 absolutly suck cause you cant mod them and they're crap right outta the box) _________________

The sheet metal mod above is awesome, however if you really want to go all out, get rid of the "sensor" and foam in each arrow well and glue down another piece of sheet metal. Then attach the ground wire to that piece and the signal wire to the metal on the arrow. Place weather stripping around the corners and edges to seperate them. I'll post pics if you want me to |

I would also like to see the pictures. Your mod sounds good, but does it do much difference when compared to normal sheet metal mod? And what kind of sheet metal did you use? |

I actually use roof flashing (very thin sheet metal) for the contacts. The mod makes a large difference as shown in the screenshots (im not the best, but youll see the idea).
Here are pics of the external area of the pad (I completly rewired with CAT5 and a worthy "control box"

Here are the screenshots of songs I use to test the pads:

I work until 7 tonight EST, so it'll be a few hours until I post internals. The only downside right now is that the arrows feel a bit hollow in between the two pieces of sheet metal. Some changing of the weather stripping should fix that up. The rest of the pad is great. The best part is you can use the arrows that come with it as there's no area like the old sensor that can break the acrylic. You have to remove the LED's from the arrow first though. |
