I can make the edit but when i type it in on itgfreak.com stepchart finder. it shows up with all teh steps correctly, but it says that is is a expert single. when i look at other peoples edits they say edit single.
how do i fix that?

Are you sure you typed in "Edit" in the stepmania file where it says Hard/Expert/whatever? |

When you say you "made an edit", are you talking about an .edit file, or an .sm file with a set of Edit steps inside it? I'll assume you're talking about an .edit.
If it's an .edit file, check the file to be sure that it doesn't contain any other set of steps besides your edit. An .edit is supposed to only have one stepchart inside, but in reality it can contain more than one. Your steps might have wound up in there twice, once tagged with edit, and once tagged with Expert. Search the file for the word "Expert" and make sure it isn't in there. Make sure your .edit includes no more than this (plus comments, if any):

That's an .edit i just did last night, and it shows up correctly in the chart generator. Note the part in bold -- are you absolutely sure that it says "Edit:" there? Are you sure that "Expert:" or "Challenge:" or "Oni:" or "Smaniac:" appears nowhere in the file? Open the file in notepad and hit Ctrl-F to search it.
If you can't figure it out, why not go ahead & post the entire thing or upload it somewhere and post a link. |
