Hi, can anyone help me? I am a newbie. I went to Xbox live and looked at the song packs to download and none of them were of my taste. I am looking for more songs from the 70's and 80's for my Xbox or if need be I'll buy another game system in order to get songs I like, once again main stream pop 70's and 80's. Thank you very much I appreciate any replies.

yeah looks like you are really S.O.L. most of the songs are techno dance songs.

The only 80's song i can think of or 70's song is "Play that funky music white boy" and "Long train runnin'" other than that it is mostly techno.

The Dancing Stage series (PAL PS2, which means not only getting a new console, but modding it as well) has a smattering of 70/80s licenses like Gloria Gaynor's I will survive, Hey Mickey and plenty of others that would suit your taste.

I'm sure if it was sold for profit, Konami would clamp down on it (I'm sure it's a matter of time before they clamp down on ITG).[/quote]

Well, it does fit quite well for what this person's looking for, unless they want to mod a system to play Dancing Stage.

But yeah, I'd say get Stepmania, a good adaptor and pad, and download songs.
Find more info about that here. http://www.ddrfreak.com/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=33
