Just found this pad going through the BNS website. Looks like they released a wireless version of the fusion that has panels instead of one smooth surface and cooler graphics
While the batteries would be a pain depending on their life, I'm intrigued.
Anyone try or hear anything about this pad?

I don't buy that. Why would they make a pad that lagged for a game based solely on precise timing? It would be a huge waste of their effort, time, and resources. Obviously lag with wireless is the trusted common sense, but I would say that it's unlikely that a company would steak a large amount of money developing something that went directly against common sense without implementing some sort of solution to the problem. |

did you guys read the description? they say they use infrared, not radio frequency, so it won't lag

if this is true, then this could be the first good wireless pad |

damn looks amazing. wireless metal pad is way convenient. i just got my metal pad form them, but not the wireless one. i like so i won't switch up. but maybe in the future next year or something when i am not poor. haha.
but serious. if there seems to be no lag issue like the website states than this is gonna be one hell of a pad. |

I have never seen a radio pad before, my sis has owned 2 different wireless softpads, both of which are infared, both lag. Being infared doesnt mean its lag free, the technology itself isnt lag free so i dont know how it would be possible for the pad to be. |

Light is light, and always travels at the same velocity regardless of frequency, dependant on the characteristics of the medium through which it's travelling. In your case, that's just air.

Sounds like they're bullshitting you big time there. More distance? Hmm, you know, that cosmic radio background that we're measuring comes from far distant galaxies. Unless your pad's further away than that, I don't see how more distance helps.
No delayed response? That's inherent in the fact that infrared and radio are both light, and you're having to convert light signals into electronic signals either way. Don't have to do that with a connected pad. _________________

eh, i got my regular fusion pad, thats all that counts lol. and you guys dissing on the infrared pad, you shouldn't hate until you've actually tried the pad. Have you tried it yet? No, you all are just basing your assumptions on past experiences with another faulty pad, or what you've "heard" about it. You never know the response time on infrared connections, some are faster, some are slower, just depending on the time sequence when light is sent and received (little strobe signals). Anyways, with this pad, it looks okay to me. Its like saying pizza tastes sick when you never tasted a pizza before. you guys shouldn't be commenting on the pad's performance if you've never tried it out yet. So I'm not saying anything good or bad about it until i know for sure _________________

I agree that " Your never know unless you actually test it! you all are just basing your assumptions on past experiences with another faulty pad, or what you've "heard" about it."
Buy it and test it! |
