ITG Freak is missing some songs and it doesn't have all the stepcharts for the songs they do have.

If you have the .SM or .DWI file, you can put those numbers in to the stepfile database thingy that they have. It's that open space on the bottom.

Not meaning to bump this but I would like to hear something from the moderators. Are the charts not available? Have you not been able to make time to add them in? If you have them, you can send them to me through e-mail.

Most of the problem I would assume is the way we handle the step charts. Right now, they are coded from .dwi files. Those files don't support many ITG aspects (mines or freeze rolls). Which would probably be a good deal of work. And when the charts are accessable elsewhere, why would we want to put the effort here?

Look, here it is, straight from the horse's mouth.

The problem is that J Dogg is the one working on the parser which lets us use SM files (which are the only filetype AFAIK that supports mines and freeze rolls). And he hasn't worked on it in a while. It was *nearly* there, but he hasn't messed with it in a while, I've been too busy, and I felt like I was practically drowning in the DWI parser when I just went in there to change the freeze arrow graphics, so I don't have a whole lot of inclination to go back in there.

Freeze Rolls would probably not be hard to implement - I assume they're handled in the file just like Freeze Arrows, in which case you just duplicate all the logic and draw a different shape. But they only exist in like five songs, whereas Mines are far, far, far more important.

Plus, I'm not even sure that the normal functions of the SM parser are working right now, since I would assume that mines would just be ignored if they weren't supported yet, and even without the mines, the stepcharts in some cases just look way, way off.

We don't have most of the ITG2 charts up. Honestly, I don't have a whole lot of motivation to go hunt them down when I don't have a fully-working parser to display them.
