Taken from DDRUK...
Once again it is with great sadness and regret the the update is that Franky Gee passed away today aged 43.
Quote: Palma de Mallorca. Francisco Guterrez aka "Captain Jack" ("Drill Instructor") died at the age of 43. The good-mood singer (sold seven million records) already collapsed on monday at a party in Palma de Mallorca. He was taken to the hospital "Juaneda" with the suspicion of stroke. The doctors had already lost all hope. In the night to friday he has fallen into eternal sleep without ever regaining his consciousness, according to his ex-wife Daniela Schaefer.
---------------------
It is with great regret that I inform the DDR community that Franky Gee a.k.a. Captain Jack has collapsed while walking with his son in Palma de Mallorca and fallen into a coma. His brain is bleeding and doctors inform that he has barely any chance to live. It appears to be due to a related developing brain tumor in 2002.

Captain Jack, a favorite on DDR ever since the days of DDR 3rd Mix with the remix of the self titled song, has just today passed away.
He has been suffering from a coma for the past five days, due to a cerebreal hemorrhage, and succame to it.
Captain Jack- Francisco Alejandro Gutierrez- was in the American military, and afterwards, started to make music with a military sound about peace and unity in protest of the military. Be it protest or not, his music all had a great beat, a good sound, and a very enjoyable atmosphere about it.
Captain Jack is a favorite on DDR, most people can agree to that. Be it the 70's remix of "In The Navy" with the gallops that finally let people get talented within them, or the slow jams like "Only You". A number of his songs have graced the Bemani behemoth and we'll always have that.
Captain Jack has finally been brought back to the Rainbow Track and will always, always have me in the Captain's Crew. _________________
