That's the only way that score screen could be legitimate.
Even then, I know a lot of DDR mixes get screwey when set to under 3 stages; I'm pretty sure Max2 didn't allow Oni on 2-stage machines.
Can anyone clarify the case for Extreme and whether Extra Stage is still awarded? _________________

No, it's impossible to get that score screen when the game is set to 2 stages.
The total number of Perfects and the total combo imply that he played PSMO 3 times. But it is impossible to play PSMO on Extra Stage. You can't play the Extra Stage on Challenge difficulty unless the song only has Challenge steps.
So the game must have been set to 3 stages, with no Extra Stage, which as far as I know is possible in Event Mode but not otherwise. _________________

The perfect value doesn't line up with the green boxes in the background.
It's a home version, that's why the Extra Stage stuff can be bypassed.

Easy. Home version, 3 stages, event mode. Look at his other pics in the album, they're taken on a TV which means its a home version. Also makes timing windows HUUUUUUUUUGE.

Dammit. I should have realized that.

Not really. I can AA a lot of 9s at home. I can only AA a few 8s at the arcade. It's a big difference. _________________

i think "slightly larger" is more appropriate than "HUUUUUUUUUGE". people act like at home the timing windows are so big its practically effortless to get an AAA. now of course, people who normally SDG in the arcade will think that, but then they don't have that far to go for the AAA. i still have no home AAA's, and only a few SDG's on EX2. _________________

Indeed, the home version Perfect window isn't that much larger than the arcade one. It still takes a considerable amount of concentration to get a AAA... just a bit less than it does at the arcade. |
