E19.gif kinda curious, but can a mod (or 2) respond on how they dance? Are they like tripleA freak or do they just moderate because they know about computers?
i am mostly interested in Junior Asparagus, Spike , and remy, because i see them a TON on the boards.

and, ok A_SEAL

"how do the moderators dance"
When I first looked at it I thought you were some extreme newb talking about mods (ie little, left, mirror etc)

*edit*

Well...JA will get around to this thread in time, I imagine, but I can vouch for the guy, having seen him on the stage many times. He's a very good PAer and a really good freestyler when he has time to put something together. He'll post here and say he's not that great at it all, but he really is.

He's also like a Para Queen. biggrin.gif And I mean that in a regal royal sense...presiding over the masses with power...not looking fruity or anything. ponder.gif erm.gif Nope nope...course not. riiight.gif

PerfectAsymmetry is one of the best PA'er on the East Coast, phre..frequently found in the SDG and AAA threads of Gameplay.

Obviously dj 8-ball is known for his freestyle on the West Coast, as well as Mel B. JTF of NJ is a known freestyler of the East Coast.

I'm not fantastic. I have trouble with the Max's, only because I don't play them nearly as much as everyone else seems to.

I play somewhere in between PA and freestyle; trying to flow a bit and still get a decent score. I tend to average an A grade.

Oh, and I tend to play doubles more than I do singles.

Just in case this is what you were getting at - being a AAA master doesn't get you mod positions. Being knowledgable and helpful on the boards counts far more.

I suck at all Bemani, in fact I have never even played most of them. I'm only a mod because I have given "special favors" to Spike and JDogg.

Tamarik's a really good. I've personally seen him AAA a good handful of songs. I've even seen him AAA an 8 footer. he's primarily a singles PA player. but he does do some little goofy freestyles sometimes, like his "gay Do Me" routine. it's positively hilarious.

If the videos were up, you would see some of DJ 8-Ball and Mel B. They're both freestylers. Love Mel B.'s Make A Jam routine dressed up like La Parka and smashing the chair on his head. laugh.gif

Also, look for PMG's videos. Very funny. I know of two, both of which he teams up with Cronos, dressed up as Pokemon for Petit Love (on this site, but videos are down), and his "party girl" routine for Afronova (on Bemanix.com).

Me, I've AAAed two songs, Spin The Disk and Ordinary World, both on Light. 2x Speed. Solo.

And, uh, maybe Peace Out Light. But it was on an Oni course, so I might be wrong.

I can do most songs on Double; and probably all songs on Single. On Single, I've pulled of at least an A on every song (that is at my disposal). Note: "All the songs at my disposal" means everything on the PS/2 USA versions and a 3rd Mix Plus that's 2 hours away.

And I'm about 30 or so steps away from beating Max300 Extra Stage. w00t.

Yes, I seriously have trouble with the Maxes on Heavy.

I'm sure if I went to the arcade and played them excessively, I *could* pass them - Sakura only took me two shots, and the first time I failed by one step - but there's two main reasons I don't play them much:

1) I just don't find them to be *fun* songs. Those people who have been reading my posts for long enough know I don't really go for the insanely ridiculous stuff; I prefer "fun" steps over "challenging", to take a page from Devilon.

2) Practically every game of singles I play is with my wife on the other side. She's still working her way up to Heavy mode. The last thing she wants to do is try the Maxes.
