Stepmania on PS2?

I attempted to search for this on these forums, but I came up empty handed. I understand that it's possible to get Stepmania onto the Xbox. My question is is it possible to get Stepmania on to the PS2? I want to be able to play all of the 10 footers I have on my pad. I can't hook it up to my computer because it is upstairs (bad for the drywall below, and terribly loud). So the question is, is this possible? And if so, could somebody point me in the correct direction as to how I'd go about doing this? Thank you very much.

Would it work if you got the linux version of stepmania and then linux on ps2?

Don't believe everyone on the forums, TCP. In fact, tmpwr is hard at work with others in trying to make StepMania run on a PS2 (possibly violating all kinds of license stuff, but that's not the point). I seem to recall that he had created a successful prototype; check around old pages of this forum and maybe the ITG forum.
