I just got a new keyboard about a week ago. I hadn't played stepmania until just yesterday on it.

My old keyboard was unable to register hands on the up arrow, which was fine because I'd just turn hands off.

But now, my new keyboard won't register JUMPS on the up arrow. Meaning if I press the up arrow and anything else at the same time the up arrow won't register, and I'll get a ton of misses. Is there anyway to fix this?

Thanks.

Some keyboards will register four arrows at a time, some three, some only two, and some only one. There's not really much that can be done about it. The built-in keyboard on my laptop (my only computer) can handle all four arrows at once, but the full-sized wireless keyboard that I use for my laptop when it's docked at home can't even handle two, so it's nearly worthless for Stepmania and as a result I only do keyboard Stepmania when the laptop & I are away from home.

Some people report success by using the numeric keypad instead of the regular arrow keys, or other keys entirely. Some keyboards can handle more simultanious keypresses of non-arrow keys than they can of arrow keys, so using 2/4/6/8 on the numeric keypad might give you better results... although it's in my opinion a lot harder in terms of finger positioning (but would probably become easy with sufficient practice).
