My 13 year old brother beat it and the only other 12 footer he passed was Vertex. He fails Energizer, Delirium, Tell, Go 60 Go and a bunch of others but passes Hardcore of the North. It's one of the easier 12 footers IMO and one of the first 12 footers that most people pass here other than Vertex.

Not sure about my best.. 89 maybe? =\ haven't played it in a while.

One of easiest 12's......you have GOT to be kidding me. 12's in order from easiest to hardest in terms of stamina are:

Go*60*Go
Vertex
!
Energizer
Tell
Delirium
Hardcore of the North
Euphoria
Determinator

Determinator needs the most stamina out of the ITG 12 blocks? Uh, no.

I think HotN may actually be the most tiring 12, although not the hardest. I like the song and the stepchart, my best is maybe 82%? Not sure...something around there.

determinator might be the easiest one on stamina....hardest on leg speed though... my best on HOTN EX is 90.85(3 decents, 1 wayoff, 1 miss, 2 mines)

80% of people who can pass Determinator need the leg speed to get through it. That same 80% have to use the leg speed they have to their fullest extent, meaning they will become tired VERY quickly. The above is talking about people who can pass, but on a whim.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the crazy death run on Determinatore kills people stanima wise. That is, unless you have some miracle way to conserve stanima during thar.

I managed a 93.30% on HOTN the other day. I also didn't find it to be as difficult as many people have put it to be.

Also...I think Deter is more of a control thing over stamina. For instance, I can full combo all the 7 arrow bursts, and not be tired, however, I just can't control my legs enough to move that fast for that long when it comes to that middle run.

How Delirium or Determinator require more stamina than Energizer I fail to see... I get tired on Energizer by the end but Determinator is usually just footspeed and not stamina. Hardcore of the North has a very easy stepchart compared to things such as Tell/Determinator. It has no real parts that will kill you, since the steps are basic runs. I suppose if you aren't in good shape you'll die stamina-wise, but as for technique, many people I know have beaten that song before the other 12s.

Energizer takes me more energy then Hardcore of the North. I can also do HotN on Split but can't come close to beating Energizer on Split -_-

..you missed Bloodrush by the way, though it's pretty obvious it's the most tiring. For the record Hardcore Symphony should probably be right before Euphoria in terms of stamina imo even though that's just an 11.

Hello you are an opinion.. and its a wrong one E13.gif

Energizer > HOTN

Hello, you are an opinion too therefore neither is right or wrong. It's based on personal skills.

So, to add my opinion, i do believe that Energizer is VERY stamina based, hard and schtuff. Most 12/13 bar songs are stamina based. However, because HOTN has more steps, MANY more jumps, mines speed changes and stream, then i do believe that HOTN is harder than energizer on some levels. Otherwise, they have their differences that makes them harder than the other....

To answer the thread's real question though, i passed it with 85.xx% percent only once. It's harder then heck, but has a great song and is great to play.

eh, in terms of 12s, thats one of the easier ones for me. same with determinator, but i suck at go 60 and energizer. last time i tried hotn, i got a 90 unbugged, and i think i could do better.

Energizer is NOT tiring in any way for me. I consider it an 11. Delirium and Determinator give me a much harder time than Energizer does. Which isn't much at all. Energizer has like 12 crossover 8ths in it. Is that all? Some Tell style crap but nothing over the top. I can safely say that Energizer is only tiring to those who cannot crossover efficiently or step jump at 303BPM. HotN has the most steps in the game. It's not easy. Simple, but LONG. And if I recall correctly, it has 2nd highest BPM of any ITG1 12..... I can't see anyone being able to pass HotN and not every other 12 in ITG1 because they all have much less steps. Oh snap, I did miss Bloodrush. Bloodrush is a weird one. You either can pass it and not be tired. Or fail it period.

In regards to Determinator, most people cannot control their stamina and footspeed usage. Like, me, I can. I can combo all parts, but I just haven't done it in one try. And I can get through it like it's nothing. But when I see other players come up and play a 12 sometime during the day and do really well, and then maybe next game on 2nd round or something, they try Determinator and either barely pass it and want to pass out, or fail miserably. And most people just avoid Bloodrush all together. Hardcore Symphony is dumb. And shouldn't even be in the damn game with the stepchart and lateness in syncing that it has. Don't even get me started.

Right, because long streams at 303 bpm with non-trivial amounts of candle steps aren't tiring at all. Yeah.

I'm not sure about that one. The few people who have passed it in my area get tired by the end including myself. Maybe at higher levels you can pass it and not be tired, but there are definately a large group of people who pass it with just enough energy to complete the song.

Determinator seems more like a "pass it and not be tired or fail it" song to me, since the only part that most people die on (at least here) is the middle run.

As for Hardcore of the North, most of the steps are easy and non-draining since there is a slow portion at the beginning and the end of the song which are like 150+ steps which barely tire anyone out. The jump-step-mines area is also more of a reading challenge than a stamina drain.

If it matters, I play flat-footed which means during non-crossovers (i.e. almost ALL of determinator's 24th runs and HotNs runs) I move my feet like an inch per step. This is a big difference from things like Energizer's and Pandemonium's (at least some of them - the middle runs come to mind). Do you happen to play on your toes Leeroy?
