I've emailed DDR Freak Forum help, and even asked people, NO ONE HAS HELPED ME.




I tried logging in with my old username (which was "i *heart* cyndi lauper) and it said wrong password. so then i do the FORGET PASSWORD option, and put in my username and email address. it then says NO SUCH USERNAME. So then I proceed to look up my username under the Memberlist, and it's still there, but my profile is empty, and says I have 0 posts *i had well over 300*. So then I try again with FORGOT password. No such luck. So then I try to make a new login name, but it says my email address already has one.


Was I banned? I didn't say or do anything to make me banned. I haven't gotten a reply from DDR Freak yet either. What's going on and how do I fix this???? I had to create a new username just to ask for help on here, and I'd like my old account back, seeing as how i use the email address for it a lot.

You sure this isn't you?

According to what I see, someone registered "i *heart* cyndi lauper", but never actually activated the account, and so it's never been used. It's not that posts were deleted or otherwise no longer exist - they were never made to begin with.

Forgive me if this is a bad assumption, but my guess is that you thought you were changing your profile when you actually just made a new account, and you never noticed that your name didn't change, and I guess now that you lost your cookie somehow and are trying to get back in, now you're noticing that it never worked.

O_o How'd you find it???? That's my username! I never created a new account til yesterday, to make this one. I remember changing my username to I *heart* cyndi lauper...maybe it didn't work or something. Anyway, THANKS SOOO much for finding my old username! I was wondering why I couldn't login. Weird, I don't know how I could've made a new account anyway, I've only got one email address.

This is both for you and anyone else. It may have helped in your situation, and it may not have.

There is a "search username" feature that I have access to as an Admin. It is VERY fickle. It is case sensitive and everything has to be EXACTLY correct. Searching for "spike" will not find "Spike" or really even a name that has spike IN it. I have to use a wildcard. Often to find a name that starts with an S I will just do "S*" and then "s*" and search through EVERY s name we have. Of course, if someone started their name with a special S then I have to somehow figure that out too and search using that.

So if you're looking for your name or trying to put it in to do the "forgot password" thing, remember if you used any crazy characters or something.

All the more reason for me to never use weird characters. I forget and then I make it difficult for myself.

I guess your mail server was acting slow about delivering the mail.
