Hi everyone, I was looking to buy a Deluxe Dance Pad V2.5- PlayStation 1 & 2 (LED/Soft Foam/8 Button Design w/Green & Gray). BUT, I'm wondering how good the LED light-up arrows will work. I mean, I've never seen a Foam pad with light-up arrows before.
If there's anyone out there that has one of these, or has ever used one before, can you please tell me if it's worth my money or not. _________________

Not too much help but...
If you want to buy a good pad, you HAVE to go with cobalt flux.
Plastic pads are good for up to 7 steps. after that they slide all over.
im just pumped cuz im ordering a cobalt flux monday |

Ha, not all of use can afford CF. That's why they still make soft mats. :P _________________

I'm not sure which pad you're talking about exactly, but I'm guessing that if it's a soft pad with LEDs on it, it's not the arrows that light up. On all the soft pads I've seen, if they have LEDs, they're in the circuitry box at the top of the pad, not on the arrows. If that's the official description you've got there, notice they don't specifically mention "LED light-up arrows" or something like that. |

Yup .59 is right, softpads cant have light up arrows because of their design. The "Light up" function is only seriously used as a advertising ploy, its like, 1 LED in the 2 inch black control box on top of the mat that lights up when you step. Its dull, insignificant, and really not that cool. Definatly not something that should change your opinion on buying the pad |

there is one thing those LEDs are good for (btw, i've seen 2 types, one has the lights in the circuit box, the other has it on the perimeter by the arrows in the pad itself). If you are on dance play mode or your pad is old and worn out, or any other reason steps aren't registerring because a button is accidently pressed, you'll know about it, since the light will be on. so it's useful _________________
