Arrow air pockets

Ok, I'll give this topic some use:

On the arrows of the Afterburner, there are bubbly plastic stuff. (the poster thingy kind you see on the windows of fast food resteurants with the air pockets in them), does the plastic come off? I thought not at first but it's starting to give more air pockets to me...dosent look like it SHOULD be on it.
