This is the first announcement IIDX:TE - Tournament Edition

What is it? This is a BMS simfile contest, to be played on PC IIDX simulators. This contest was formerly known as DDRei's "Tournastyle" IIDX tournament that Sivus was planning. Him and I had joined together earlier, but he is unable to work on this tournament, so I get to finish it out.

The contest will be held at www.outphase.com

As I am aware, many members of the community are beginners when it comes to simulation outside of DDR, let alone making a BMS file.
Panda made a tutorial for BMx Sequence Editor, a VERY EASY program for making BMS files, found in this forum, but it's Linked here also.

Keymania will be the official sim for the tournament, and hopefully we should have another release sometime before the tournament starts.

Entries will be due June 11, to give you a little over a month to work on an entry.

For more information please visit the OFFICIAL FORUM

I hope some of you guys will be able to enter!

For anyone who entered IIDX:TE, the uploader is now online. You have until Saturday the 18th to upload your entry.

Read the notes then upload your file.

Are you expecting keysounded BMSes, or non-keysounded, or both? Would keysounded BMSs be at an obvious advantage, or no? Are you expecting multiple difficulties (L7/7/7A) or just one?

etc.

Keysounds are not required, and if they are included they are evaluated, but do not count towards your score. However, if the judge likes keysounds a whole whole lot, they'll probably like your file better over all and will give you a higher score for it.

I believe each file requires two difficulties - a Light and a 7 Key.

For more, read this.

I look forward to seeing how some of these sims turn out. Judging is going to be fun. biggrin.gif
