Why? DDR machines have been in Mcdonalds before, well, real ones..

The most likely needed Konami's permission to use this. Im baffled as to why they are using DDR MAX 2 USA, with the whistle song and all.

well if they make no profit (which they don't, that thing is free, like all Mickey D's computer games) then it's simply private property on which they invited other people to play on. the only illegal part is if Mickey D's get's sued for not having a bar when some kid smashes his skull in.

They should definetly sue them for ripping DDR off or look into it. Unless Konami and McDonald's made a joint program to get people active at McDonald's and keep them aware of staying active... they could get sued or something.

I must admit, this is a good idea... but they need to have legal proof that they didn't just rip the pads off. In the last link it says that these are Kidz Dance pads (Here's an analogy for you: CF:Kidz Dance Pads as DDR:McDonalds?... i think not.). It basically sounds, in the last paragraph, like they made the pads and didn't, at all, want to give any credit toward red octane.

Kinda mean towards Komani and all DDR players.

Bad! Bad McDonald's! Go to your playplace and eat another burger with fries!

heh thats bad. I say someone contacts red octane because thats not right to do that unless they have a deal set up, but if not someone is most definently gonna get sued.

Seeing those pictures made me wonder about the legality myself, but earlier this week, I was at a mall where they had a very kiddie-styled McDonald's. Lots of purple, blue, and green in there, puzzle pieces on the walls, etc. They also had quite a few games in there. They had a forgettable selection of games that gave out toys as well as Gamecubes with Crash Bandicoot and Sonic the Hedgehog games and a Nintendo 64 with Mario Kart 64 on it. o_O Seeing as how this isn't the first time McDonald's has had video games, I'm pretty sure this is legit. And as other people have mentioned, McDonald's has had DDR games before. One place in my state had a 3rd Mix, though that later got replaced by Mocap Boxing I've heard.

For the reccord, and everyone seems to forgot this, The Whistle Song *was* censored on DDRMAX2: Dance Dance Revolution 7th Mix.

Check this out, too. It seems to also be a ripoff, but of Merit's Megatouch machines instead.

I'm rather tempted to e-mail Konami and let them know about this so they can LAWSUIT'D McDonalds.

Though that wouldn't work
