My wife played while she was pregnant. She didn't play on heavy, so it was alright to play. You'll find that as you get bigger it will become harder and harder to play, so your body will let you know what is too much. Its not like the baby will fall out of you as you're playing. Have fun! laugh.gif

And for, as usual, contributing absolutely nothing.

I think slow-paced or simple DDR songs would be fine (at least for the first or second trimester), seeing as similarly intense activities like walking or yoga are often recommended by most doctors. However, definitely talk to your doctor before starting any kind of exercise regimen while you're pregnant; he/she'd be able to help you loads more than any of us.

There was a thread about this a while ago, and I think the conclusion was that it was normally OK to do it. However, I would strongly recommend against taking anyone's word for it on this forum, including mine. Ask an expert.

Those 2 things go together perfectly, just like Konami & Lawsuits, Silent Hill & DDR, Michael Jackson & kids, Rare & Microsoft.....Need I go on?
Just don't do any 8-10 ft.

You should absolutely not play DDR on any mode while pregnant.
Does common sense even exist anymore?

EDIT: There is warning at the beginning of the DDR console game intruction booklets that says not specifically not to play while pregnant.

I rest my case.

I think that worrying about your child is more important than playing DDR. But if you really want to play, play on Beginner or Light and avoid all jumps.

I have to say, that's just so Konami doesn't get slapped with any lawsuits. Your doctor will always have the final word, regardless of common sense.

I'd say not to play at all, but it's your baby so I guess it's up to you.

The beginning of the owners manual wrote:
Caution:
(blah blah blah)

Persons with heart and respiratory problems, physical impairments that limit physical activity, are pregnant, or have been advised by their physician to limit their physical activity should not use the DDR Controller

(blah blah blah)

Clearly, Konami wants to cover its arse in the event of a terrible accident while playing DDR. You'll see that all of that (blah blah) also discusses the risk of seizures, and suggest that players take half-hour breaks for every hour of playing. In short, the warnings go overboard out of caution.
