When did you get good.

I have been playing for 6 and a half months, and I am starting to get a bit impatient and discouraged, the only 10 footer i can pass is G2 and from what I have been hearing it should not count as a 10 footer. What I want to know is how long it took others to get to be good.
1) your first 10 footer
2) being able to pass all 10 footers.
3)AAAing 10 footers

P.S. I am relatively new so I am not sure if this has been posted yet

The first 10 footer I passed was Max300. At that point there was only two of them anyway.

From that point it was about 4 months until I passed all of the 10s, mostly because 1. They wern't unlocked yet and 2. PSMO is hard.

I stopped playing DDR before I got to the AAA 10 footers stage, but I SDGed a couple of them, and I can AAA 10 footers in In The Groove now.

max300 took me a few weeks... i beat max300 and maxX on the same day :-)
um i still have to beat PSM and PSMO i got really close to beating PSM

That's really good actually. I picked up DDR a year ago and I sucked at it really badly. It took me months to get to 9 footers and then I was stuck at that plateau to 10s (and the only 10 I had access to was the legend of MAX on Extreme USA...not too easy by any means). I literally practiced my heart out on that (and on MAXX Unlimited when I got DDRMAX2 USA) and I always came pretty close. However, all the experience helped me out immensly when I got Max USA and played MAX 300 for the first time in my life and c'd it about a month ago (I've since b'd it, c'd Unlimited, and can ALMOST reach the freeze on legend). Just don't get discouraged, man. The 10 jump is insanely hard and can take a long while in order to get down. Just get stamina, work up to it, and practice it time after time on end to drill them into your brain. You'll get to them eventually.

When i first got the game i had never even seen it before, i got max with some crappy britney beat pad... not only that but the first thing i did was training mode... ewwww

1)Believe it or not, The Legend of MAX (my first game was EXTREME US)
2)i finally passed MAX. at my friends house on memorial day (how 'bout that)
3)the best grade i've gotten on a ten-footer is only an A (MAX 300)

I consider myself a very good player. I just don't worry about PA, unless it's my last song (on Extrem) so I can get extra stage. I can pass a ten footer or more easily with my fingers, just not my feet.

Right now I can pass any song, but I can't pass all songs with my feet. So to say i'm not a good player becuase I can't pass max with my feet, is pretty lame.

Everyone is different physically........ but anyway, have fun.....I wouldn't really worry about passing some lame sounding feet killling song anyway. but that's just me.

4-4.5 months.
Passed Bag first on 5x for the heck of it, but later that night I also C'd max 300. Ive brought that up to a high B (One % point away from an A) and C'd Unlimited. Im close to passing PS, but I have to go back and learn crossovers for the death run. Can probably pass sakura, never played it.

Ive never AAA'd anything on heavy, simply put.

Dont get discouraged. Youll get there eventually, just practice, have fun and dont worry so much about HAVING to improve. That should happen normaly.
