Looking for ideas to hold an ITG2 Dance Tournament at the Family Fun Center located in the Harrisburg Mall, Harrisburg PA. E19.gif

Any suggestions or ideas to that end (Rules, Regulations, Judging Criterion) is very much appreciated.

Hope to have big prizes and potential media coverage. E4.gif

Thanks in advance for any help offered.

Brackets:

1v16
2v15
3v14
4v13
5v12
6v11
7v10
8v9

1v8
2v7
3v6
4v5

1v4
2v3

1v2

In addition you could have it done by PA (percent attack). Whoever has the highest score two out of three songs in one match wins that match.

Hiya Tim!

I do some tournament consultation out here in SoCal, the rules for my upcoming tournament look like this. That might be a good model, but you don't need things to be that complicated.

Why don't you Private Message me or Email me (both linked below my name) and we'll talk more about it? Or message me on AOL Instant Messenger: Django Rienhardt.

And I'm willing to toss my input in on this as well. PM/IM me and I'll try to give you what should be the best ideas for your location/people.

ITG makes it a lot easier on how to score things for tech tourneys, which is good. So pretty much, you just have to think about organization for the most part. There's a few things you can add/subtract/adjust to fit whatever the local people tend to enjoy the most as well, while still making it challenging and competitve.

Just wrote a very brief ten-step process available here. It's not much, but it might be a semi-helpful starting point.
