Hi all, Iwas looking for a good cheap pad, my girlfriend wants to try out DDR, wanted to get her something very inexpensive to her started on, (thinking of modding it too to make it better) I was look at this, any one have any experience with it.

no real return policy on ebay so if the pad turns out to be faulty (which should take about a month) then you're pretty screwed... try finding a pad from a trusted website or from a local retailer, then you at least have the reassurance of a short but sturdy warrenty... |

the levelsix ones are a bit more than i can spend, if i have no choice i can see if i can go that high, but the level six site is backordered, and i need it within a month. |

Level six makes (or at least made, I ordered mine about three years ago) solid pads - heck, just about every Ignition or clone is of comparable quality. Honestly, I think that one company makes all of them and some are just colored differently.
Mostly, yeah, you're paying for the return policy on higher priced pads (or Ignitions themselves) - the snag there is that you often have to pay shipping on the return. Ouch. Thus, my advice is to go to this auction instead - where for only $15 more, you get a second pad in case one breaks down (or so you can play too.) It's about $40 all told, which is about how much 1 level six is before shipping. Should it break down, then just eBay a new one, which costs about as much as shipping the darn thing somewhere to be replaced.
Also, be sure to do Ry-chan's Ignition mod for much better performance. _________________
