RedOctane announced today that In The Grooveâ¢, the high-energy, next-generation dance video game, is shipping to retailers nationwide and will be fully distributed on store shelves by June 17, 2005. Developed exclusively for the PlayStationÂ®2 computer entertainment system, In The Groove is poised to raise the bar for all dance video games with its innovative step choreography and easy to use custom features.

Developed by Roxor Games, Inc. In The Groove will be available for a suggested retail price of $39.99 and an ESRB rating of âEâ for Everyone rating. The official In The Groove dance pad will be available with a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $29.99. Developed by Roxor Games, Inc., In The Groove is based on the hit arcade game of the same name. In The Groove challenges players with 5 difficulty levels of game play, and introduces incredible features that have never been seen before in a dance game. Well, I assume we'll get it the day after or the day that it ships. There still hasn't been an actual release date given, just a day that the game will be out by.

If you preordered in the groove, did it charge you when you preordered it or will it charge you when it ships? I have run out of money in my account...

I dont want that to be a problem where the game wont even ship to my house.

If I'm reading it the way that I am reading it. I will be picking it up no later than this thursday. EB and Gamestop are saying Thursday. The topic specifically states ITG Ships to Retail. And it also states that it will be FULLY Distributed by the 17th. So places like walmart and crap will have it by then but the major game stores will have it sooner. My bets are that pre-orders will ship out tommorrow from RO.

As long as RedOctane is sure to send confirmation e-mails to those who preordered, we'll know for sure when it ships. Of course, I still check DHL's site 3x a day to see if it shipped and RO never told me.

LOL It would be awesome if ITG came out in certain stores (such as Gamestop, a mainly video game store) a week earlier than others.

Yes, This thread is on the official press release and it is about the poor wording of it. EB and Gamestop say that the game ships on the 8th which is now today *Wednesday* so it would be in stores on Thursday.

Maybe you're just in denial. Or maybe stores can't sell the game (even if they receive it earlier) until June 17th.
