Using Step Charts To Get Songs On Games...

So I was thinking about how I wish that I had So Deep on my Ultramix 1 game but I dont. So I thought to print off the stepchart for it and copy it on to a song that had a 140 BPM (In Edit Mode). So I used Look To The Sky (True Color Mix) and it worked! Now I can play it whenever I want! But the only problem, is it isn't the music so it can get confusing. Has anyone else done anything similar to this?

Instead of doing something as odd as that, is there a reason why you don't use Stepmania?

thats exactly what i did to get good at alot of the 9/10 fotters i do easily now.

That method's good...if you turn off the music and use Assist 4.

And hoping that the song is just as long as the song you want to use.

Then again, why were you expecting the steps to match up? *expletive*

I just did it again with R&P! w00t! It exactly matches the beat during the streams. But the gallops are hard without the correct music. btw, I used CSFILSM.

Yea, it does help when you turn off the music, I just went and tried it. Also, I got Cartoon Heroes.

I could do that you know, i thought of it before.

I wanted to do that for PARANOiA Survivor.

the only bad thing is as you said it doesn't have the right music, and the steps might not go with the song.

So Deep is hard for me, i only got a C on it so far.

I did this with a couple of songs in Ultramix 2. Turned G2, which is a piss-poor excuse of a 10 footer in a more streamish July. =D

Yea, it works for me because I know the songs so well, I just play them in my head. Also, I got Witch Doctor on my game. (Just to let anyone know that is going to try this, if you are going to do it for So Deep, it will take about an hour because it has about 500 arrows, and many off beats)

i have an ipod so if you do try this,
goto a stepmania site and download the song you want
put the music file into your ipod.
play it when you do.
