I just got a pad and a pc adaptor, kiky x series, and pad from ebay i think it's http://www.mymybox.com/mmb-ddr/softpad-mxt6.asp anyways i wonder if anyone else had this - when i hit up and down or right and left simultaneously, it registers as though i am hitting right and left back and forth over and over - so that freezes work, but on the other hand if i keep my feet on right and left together then an arrow will be hit (too early)...it's kinda weird and i think can mess things up. also it's doesn't seem to register so well sometimes so i find myself stomping to make it work, oh well...

could you get a link to the adapter you used, because it could simply be that your adapter is incompatible for those jumps on the computer

i just went to the USB Adapter section at stepmania.com. Says that a similar (which means by the same company) adapter doesnt work. That usually means anything by the same manufacturer doesnt work, sorry to say.

That's weird because it says right on the back of the package of the adaptor "works with playstation pads" and even has pictures of pads. Plus I get the same results not just with stepmania but also with DDR PC program which I have too...so that shouldn't be it.

Kiky is bullshit. Get a refund and I'd say to try what they have at redoctane.com

Try holding up+start+select on the pad while plugged into the computer for 3 seconds. Thats what I have to do with my adapter to put it into dancepad mode.
