No boys, not like that.
I mean while playing. I've seen that near-everybody tends to put their hand in a certain position that's comfortable and condusive to playing.
So what do you do with your hands while playing?
I, personally, have my right hand, palm up and fingers closed facing the screen, coming from about my bottom rib straight out, until I start crossovers. |

My hands have a mind of their own. They go T. Rex unless I'm paying attention and focus on keeping loose.
(Prediction: Someone's gonna answer "I keep my hands firmly around the bar", which will cause this thread to derail into another bar argument) |

I tend to keep my hands around waist level, slightly spread out. But when I'm doing harder songs (well, harder for me) I tend to start flailing them a little and sometimes lock my arms in place when doing a song with a lot of 8th note streams. The only reason I realize I'm doing this is because when I finish the song, my arms are still locked and I kinda think to myself, "Well, this feels awkward."

YOU FRIGGIN BAR HUGGER!!!!!!!! BAR HUGGING IS GHAY!!!!!!!
no im just kidding. i dont really know what i do with my hands and arms. i guess they just stay in place. its kinda like what do you do with you mouth when you are playing. alot of people (including me) will do funky things with their mouth while playing. but ya i dont really think it matters what you do with ur hands as long as ur comfortable. _________________

One of my friends puts his hands in his pockets...It looks kinda strange and I really don't want to know what they're doing in there. |

Either flailing for balance or holding up my pants so I don't step on them. |

Depends. During some songs I stand kinda fighter style, but when im soing something like Cant Stop Falin in Love Speed mix on Heavy, I have to have my arms swinging out to help me speed up. God I love the crossovers in that song... _________________
