Well, is it?? E19.gif

The ppl in my area, some say they'll quit, or losing interest.
frown.gif They wanna try ITG. erm.gif

What if, someday, no one will play it? erm.gif

It'll be a cold day when we see it.

Especially in your area, because no one will want to watch or do versus with ya.

I haven't seen the popularity of DDR dwindle in our area for a couple of months. I expect the machine to be rather busy this summer, anyway -- people have summer jobs and all, as well as free time to play.

I think I'm the only person in our town who plays PPP, though. I feel weird having high scores on a machine.

I'm sure DDR would be more popular if there was a new mix or something. Alot of people in our town dont play DDR anymore. We have 3 extremes and a ITG machine. Once we upgraded to ITG the DRR community was pretty much dead.

What hell is wrong with you!! frust.gif First of all the popularity of both DDR and ITG are eventually going to wane at one point or another, but isn't going to be for a while now. Second if there is one thing downhill real fast it's PIU. Beatmania I don't really know about cause I never played it. Same goes for Pop n' Music. If they make a new arcade mix on DDR and ITG then the popularity of both would skyrocket. flash.gif

Same around here. Once we got ITG everyone migrated. The DDR Extreme machine hasn't had business in a long while. Maybe every now and then I'll play DDR but it's boring because it's too easy...

Do you think it's losing interest if it's enough to BRING NEW BEMANI OVER?

DDR will die when people stop playing, simple as that.

I still play, and I plan on playing for a long time (even though I prefer ITG now). As long as there are machines, and arcades are still around, it won't die.

Nah. With the lawsuit against the makers of ITG, Konami is feeling the heat of competition and will most likely come out with a new arcade mix in the next few years or so, probably this/next year. Extreme 2 on arcade? Maybe.

Max.(period)? Oh yeah E13.gif Hopefully.

Don't worry about popularity fading.

I don't see how PIU is going downhill... http://www.piugame.com it's only getting more people playing it these days as the new mixes and larger songlists and higher development costs indicate..... in fact a home version of Exceed is on the way.... we have a PIU PREX3 here and zero DDR machines... now tell me one good reason an arcade should pay $10,000 for a used DDR machine (because thats what places overcharge for the used piece of crap) instead of buying ITG new and guarenteed to work for $9,999 or a PIU Exceed 1 or 2 ranging from $3,000 - $5,000

Why are arcades in a desperate attempt to keep money coming from DDR upgrading to fakes like Megamix and DDR Extreme Plus? Obviously it's dieing in some areas... it is fact... accept it.
