...you could change about DDR, what would it be?

For me it would be the price. It's an expensive hobby.

Fine, since you asked..

on DDR Extreme there is no Groove radar, or extra and encore stages.

That really sucks! goog.gif

On DDR MAX, there is no beginner level; it was the first DDR i got and wonder wat song i'd pick after lesson mode (somethin cool,i didn't want to try remember you or baby give me your love)

There is an extra stage on Extreme...you must AA an 8 footer or higher on your last song and make sure event mode is turned off. the extra stage is TLoM

I agree 100% I think EX2 should incorporate the groove radar or better yet more intesnive information like ITG provides about jumps, steps, etc.

Also new console players shouldn't have to struggle around with learning technique (heh at least not as much E1.gif ) It may sound like a crap idea but you have to admit they expect you to do that stuff (crossovers, gallops, syncopation) in the songs so the training should, in theory, cover it. I guess I just enjoyed training mode and wish they would incorporate the mission mode format, but instead of focusing on stupid mods like fuwa fuwa they focused on techniques like crossover, 1/8 streams, triplets, snycopation. Then you would actually learn how to play while having fun.

I never really used the lessons.

I thought part of the fun was teaching myself some of the moves... I mean, sure, it can be really hard sometimes if you're new to it, but I enjoyed the challange.

I would definately put some challange songs on DDRMAX.

There's an Extra Stage on EXUS, but no encore.

Anyway, as the first poster said, didder is mean to your green. But, hey, it's cheaper than drugs.

You're all wrong. In DDR Extreme you get an Extra Stage if you AA a song on your last stage and that song is an 8-foot or higher, MAAAX was right about this. But your Extra Stage does not have to be The Legend of Max, you can choose whatever song you want. However, if you choose TLoM, you have a chance at getting One More Extra Stage if you get an AA or higher.

And to make this related to the forum, I would say that I would change the Beginner mode background dolls. They teach new players to return their feet to the center...bad idea. I know it saves time in programming, but seriously, DDR is already a simple program idea, they could have put more effort into it.

You're wrong. Thats for Extreme Arcade. Except for the 8 foot part

Extreme US Home Version:
To get the extra stage, you have to AA a song on Heavy thats 8 foot or higher. The first time you get the Extra Stage, its Trip Machine Survivor. If you pass it, then every time after that you have to do The legend of MAX. And there is no Encore Extra Stage

Nobody ever made it clear that we were talking about DDR Extreme the PS2 version...So I assumed it was the arcade version. And I guess I had a brain-fart when I put that 8-foot thing in there...I don't know, I'm retarded in general.

Edit: I just read the other posts and I realized that it can easily be inferred that we are talking about the home versions...God, I'm stupid.

Price...and for DDR in general...at LEAST one more arcade mix, I got in the game too late for it to go out of style now.

Also...about how hard some of those 10 footers can be E13.gif jk

I've seen a bumper sticker reading: "Anime: drugs would be cheaper." That applies just as well to DDR.

I would much like to have the trick bar widened or moved back some. I have pretty long feet and sometimes accidentally trip over the right post.

I like everything about the arcade DDR except the price....but id like to change something about home versions. Id add an option to where you could find the step charts for the songs on the game.

Songlists. I wish there were a greater variety of genres and that there were fewer American licenses.
