Pump pad not working...

Hmm, ok, weird problem. I apologise in advance if this has been covered before, but I've done a few forum searches across DDR Freak and not found anything relevant...

On my last PC, which was running Windows XP, my official PIU soft pad worked fine. Just tried to use it again now (again, on Windows XP, but on a new PC), and it won't. The only difference is that the old PC used slower USB ports, and this one uses USB 2.0... (but that can't affect it, can it? :S)

I installed it using the same game as last time (the American game that I bought the mat with), and it's not detecting that I've plugged it in. However, when it's plugged in, the light comes on and goes off when any buttons are pressed, so it's being powered correctly. Windows also picks it up, but ends up with an error when it tries to automatically install it.

I'm guessing the American game doesn't like installing the mat on XP or something, so I'm wondering if anyone has the installation files that come with the Prex 3 game (or any of the newer PC games)? It'd probably be a .inf file somewhere, or a setup file among the seperate files (not in a folder) that are displayed on the disc when you put it in.

Can anyone help me out with some help please?
