Last week, much to my delight, i came accross a metal dance pad in a dumpster. I brought it home thinking i could connect it to my computer, but found that the port would not fit into my computer. Online i looked through pictures of cables and found that it was a hb 15 female cable. Does anyone know what i can do to get it to work?? Any help or advice would be appreciated.

it was most likely in the dumpster cause i doesnt work. and even if i does, there is no telling what has been on that thing, all the trash and crap. theres prolly so much stuff down inside the mat that it would be a pain to clean out. And what brand mat was it anyway?

EDIT: i just opened up another thread and it was the same as this. you shouldnt double post like that.

Sorry for posting twice.

I probably should have clarified somthing. I found it in a dorm dumpster while students were going home for the summer after finals. They throw out all sorts of working stuff because they cant fit it in their cars or on the plane, so i think there is a good chance that it works.

I took a picture of the pad. I hope someone recognizes what it is, or what i could do to get it to work. Thanks for any advice.

It's a TX-2000, sans backbar. You can see pictures of it in the START HERE thread.

By appearances, it looks like it uses the same control box as the Red Octane pads do, so look and see if you can find someone to borrow one from, or you could risk dropping the Jackson on it yourself to give it a shot.
