I have this at my house and I am 110% satisfied with how it works. At my house I have EVERY version of DDR ever made including DDR Mixes 1-8, ITG, Disney Mixes, Japanese Mixes, and I can even make my own songs from scratch! I can also hav speeds and options no one else has! Okay this is a cheaper way to impress all of your friends with the next best thing to an actual Dance Dance Revolution ARCADE MACHINE! First you need a computer that you don't really use anymore. Make sure it is connected to the internet (to download everything you need for DDR). Now go to www.Stepmania.com and download the software for that program, if you don't already have it. Next download any song you want to play. Some good sites for DWI's (songs used in Stepmania, meaning Dance With Intensity) are www.DDRLover.com ,which has DDR Mixes 1-8, www.BemaniStyle.com , which has songs that other people have, who want to share them with you, and www.skull-one.net/stuff/stepmania , which has something called a kbmp, which means Keyboard Megapack, and has about 80 songs. Then if you want to change how the program looks (to make it look like DDR Extreme or a techno theme) you can download skins at http://www.merklo.com/index.php?option=com_remository&Itemid=51&func=selectfolder&filecatid=5 or www.Stepmania.com . Now you have to get an adapter for the dance pad you will attach to the computer, and you can get that at www.cliffracer.com for about $15 it's called SmartJoy PLUS (The Ultimate USB Adapter) and is used for PS2. And finally you need the dance pad. If you want something close to the arcade you should get a metal pad which you could get at www.ebay.com. You could buy one or two sold together (make sure it has a bar for full arcade experience!). When you buy it it usually the bar is loose so you should put super glue or silicone around the sides and then stick the bar in, but make sure after you glue it to still screw it in and to not use it for 1-3 days. Now you have your own mini-arcade at home. To make it even better you could add larger speakers to the computer and lights and make it look like an actual official DDR Arcade Machine. The adapter cost $15 + the pad, which is about $180-$350 depending on how many you get and what brand + speakers, about $100 + lights, about $40 so total it should cost about $450. Now you may think that costs a lot, but I have been playing DDR for 2 years and I think it is worth it considering the actual machine (which doesnt have all of the songs) is about $7500.

Um, yeah, everyone knows how to do this. Besides, anyone can make their own simfiles with Stepmania. It's not special that you know how. And for me, as well as every DDR mix ever, I have each Dancing Stage one, PIU, ITG, Para Para, Beatmania, as well as customs made by Arch0wl, Bantu, and some others.
