Does anyone know how well this holds up? I've got a minish cap...
(What are your opinions on controllers like this?) |

I've got two. they are pretty good fun, but the sensitivity is an issue.
the buttons are large, but only pressing them in the center registers a press so you have to "learn" its sweet spot. I wondered for ages why i was failing songs for a while until i checked where i was pressing.

The buttons aren't as sensitive as I'd like (especially the down arrow - I really have to thump it to get it to register). Using that controller is definitely harder than using a standard PS2 controller, as the buttons are further apart, but the novelty factor makes up for it.
Adding to the novelty factor is the fact that the arrows light up when you press them (there are two small red LEDs for each arrow).
One issue that does bug me, though, is that my PS2 -> USB converter requires the Up-Start-Select combo to put it in pad mode. Since Start and Select are on a rocker button with the mini-controller I purchased, there's no way to press both at once. I have to use a standard controller to put my converter into pad mode and then hook up the mini-controller. The pic you posted makes it look like the buttons are separate, so that might not be a problem with all models. |
Which USB adapter is it? |

I'm sure there are some trolls wandering around thinking that I'm gonna lock this thread.

I just got mine via UPS and it seems to be as you described. It's got a purple transparent body and the L1 L2, Start Select, R1 R2 buttons are combined. I'll post pictures later seeing as that was a horrible description. |
