I have only been playing DDR for almost a year now, and I don't completely understad the rating system. What is the percentage of perfects that you need to get in order to receive the D, C, B, A, AA, or AAA rating?

The percentages are based on dance points you get from playing a song. Each step gives you points if you hit it correctly. The number of points you get is shown here:
Marvelous (if used) = 3
Perfect = 2
Great = 1
Good = 0
Almost (Boo) = -4
Boo (Miss) = -8
OK = 6
NG = 0
93% will give you a AA, and 100% will give you a AAA. I can't remember the other ones right now. If you are playing a home version, a full combo is an automatic AA. If you are playing Extreme US, you need 93% points and a full combo to get a AA. Extreme US is funny that way...
A "Perfect" is worth 2 points
A "Great" is worth 1 points
A "Good" is worth 0 points
A "Boo" will subtract 4 points
A "Miss" will subtract 8 points
An "OK" (Successful Freeze step) will add 6 points
A "NG" (Unsuccessful Freeze step) is worth 0 points
Based on the percentage of your total "Dance Points" to the maximum possible number, the following rank is assigned:
100% - AAA
93 % - AA
80 % - A
65 % - B
45 % - C
Less - D
Fail - E
