What is the approximate cost of a peice of particle board that would be large enough to put two pads on? I'm dying to play double but I can't play anything over 4 feet right now because the pads slide on my floor. I'm just trying to figure out how much money I should be saving from my next pay check. Thanks!

You should be able to get an 8'x4' sheet for less than $30. I've not priced them recently, but I seem to recall them being around the $24 range.

You can get cheap plywood for under $20 (maybe "cheap" isn't the right word, how about "ugly"?).
