In DDR 5th mix, they have these "long" versions and I swear. They are too cool! Although, they didn't have enough arrows to make a player ballistic. But, it is so cool!!! I played Extreme and I realized that they have no long versions. E2.gif But, having long versions in Extreme would be awesome.

B4U Long version, Oops! I did it again Long version, Dynamite Rave Long version, Hot Limit Long version! All of these are so nice. Not a challenge though.

So, would it be nice to have long versions in Extreme?? E13.gif

Unless the long song is the only song you're allowed to do, then no. Just imagine having to wait ten minutes for some guy to finish three long songs while you're 4th in line at the arcade's DDR machine.

Nuff said.

Long Versions are just about twice the length of a normal song.... On the song screen, it gives you notification that by picking a long version it uses up two of your song choices. Consequently, you can't pick one as your third song.

How 'bout "Paranoia Survivor Max (Long Version) Oni?" laugh.gif

Really, though, I would like a longer version of Twinbee since it's like 1:13 or something, and a Long Version 10 footer would add an awesome challenge.

One could say, they only survived one mix for a reason.

If you really like playing long songs, Stepmania usually has them because people don't bother cutting the songs down to DDR length. I don't care for them because most people making steps seem to only want to make steps harder than 10, stuff that's impossible to do with your feet and only meant for fingers.

Long versions would be nice, but only if they were of good songs.Could you imagine listening to a 3 minute version of Buterrfly? I would have to kill myself.

I think it'd be great if the 5th Mix long versions came back. Not to mention, Synchronized Love, In the Heat of the Night, and Irresistiblement would probably make good candidates for future long versions. Heck, maybe they could even throw in lengthened mixes of some of the lesser tens (Max 300, Sakura, etc.).

I don't see why Konami would do this. The cuts can always be the length of two DDR songs (minus the wait at the songwheel...hello?), and just like 5th Mix, they take up two stages. The system already works. And it's not like half the songlist IS going to be consisting of long versions.

And even then, just put them in home versions already.

I think Long version songs are a bad idea anyway, Yes they have differant steps, therefore, just make challenge steps. Also if you want to hear a song for more then two minutes, just play it twice. I would be more satified if konami put in more challenge steps then to add long songs.

Longs songs would ONLY be effective if used in conjuction with a VERY hard song, using all your energy and skill in order to complete it. However, just for ordinary songs, I think its a waste of time.

You are very much wrong if you think songs repeat themselves more than twice in a full length version.

They should had the full version of Holic, too (which only repeats itself once, meaning the DDR version of Holic is the full version chopped in half).
