Ignition 2.0 incompatible with the xbox?

My friend recently bought a Ignition 2.0 pad, and it will not register when you hit two arrows at once (sounds like an axes/directions problem). I told him it was probably the xbox adaptor's fault, and that a compatible PS2-Xbox adaptor would work well. Any reccomendations if that is the case? If it's something elese, is it fixable?
