Ok, this may seem dumb to some but whatever...
How exactly does DDR affect your social life?
For me, all the people I know think I'm a nerd, gay, and have a social disorder for playing DDR. Strangers, on the other hand, just compliment me and feel so impressed that I play so well. I wanted the opposite. It kinda bugs me, because now i'm like isolated from the rest of my peers. I can't even find some good people to talk to about DDR around here.
EDIT: I guess i can add this : did DDR positvely or negatively affect your social life? _________________

Honestly, DDR has gotten me a lot of friends, and a lot of girls seem to think it's sexy that I play.
It also got me a really fun and cute girlfriend _________________

Yup
Other than me and my bro, only a few of my buds, and some of my cousins play DDR regularly. |

To be honest, I didn't exactly have a booming social life to begin with, so I didn't have anything to lose with DDR. I did get to know some players from my school better through meeting at the arcade, so that was pretty awesome to me. But my DDR obsession certainly didn't help friendships that were already strained from people changing and things like that-- hey, it happens. _________________

I met my girlfriend through DDR, and everyone thinks I'm awesome, so DDR has improved my social class status. Not to mention I madde about 3-5 friends just through DDR. _________________

Everyone knows me at the two places I go
I've made alot of friends and met alot of really hot guys, which is always good in my mind.
if someone doesn't know my name they refer to me as
"the little 14 year old white girl who kicked my @ss that one day"
but it went good for me _________________

I hang out with one of my best friends, as we go together. we also learned DDR together on seventh mix and ps1 imports (2.5 years ago), so it's cool that we still go. i guess DDR strengthened our relationship and it gets me out of the house. so in that way it affects my social life.
most players are younger than me (i'm 27) so i tend not to socialize too much at the arcade. |

Yeah, I never had much of a social life even before I started playing DDR. Sometimes I'll talk to people at the arcades but not usually...I'm kinda shy. _________________

My girlfriends I've met in my dorm wonder why I play it a lot and even look down on me for liking a "silly game", and then whine about how they can't find guys that are interested in them as friends or potential relationships. Then they get mad because they don't understand how I can have lunch with 12 males and be constantly surrounded by guy friends all the time, with an amazing boyfriend to boot.
In short, I've made a lot of awesome guy friends, a couple of really great girl friends, and some of the slower ones on my floor can't put two and two together about why my social life is nothing short of spectacular compared to their dismal existence.

I don't think that anyone knows that I play it that I know (Is that proper grammer? ). There are a few people, but I told them to play it. They think it's really cool. It hasn't really affectd me besides that... |

We are the same age and I'm the same way when I'm at the arcade. But I did have a friend who I played with that was one year older than me. He was the best.
I did meet a lot of people and such, but it still hasn't improved my failed excuse for a social life.
