not to be mean to anyone and im taking it that this wil be locked soon but i must ask

some of my friends say DDR is for gay people only but yet they have seen me tear it up at DDR and they say that im an acception. what the hell is wrong with them? just because some guys do unattractive things whilke playing DDR doesnt make them gay...does it? whats your oppinion?

I do know somebody that is gay, and heisn't any different. The only thing is that he never goes to play DDR in public places with me. I guess he is afraid that he will be made fun of. Stupid non-DDR players!

My professor is gay, and I got him hooked on DDR

He comes to play with me in the arcades sometimes. It's fun.

As for people who call people who do DDR (or any other activity) gay, I feel sad for them. Any one who thinks that a hobby and sexual preferance are somehow related 100% of the time needs help. Badly. They might also be homophombic (homophobes are fun to mess around with... try hitting on them and see what they do, especially if you're straight. It will confuse and scare them

This happens to me a lot; not with my friends but when I am at the mall, there will always be morons who come up to me while I am playing and make fun of me. Most of the time I don't even hear them, it's the person who I am with that points it out. I just learn not to let it effect me.

whats funny that i have to mention was that one of my friends said that DDR was gay. Then he got a girlfriend. turns out shes a pro at DDR, no hes trying to become good at it. he asked me to be his DDR traner, then i said "no because its 'gay' remember?", he was on his knees

yes, very true. people say DDR is gay because it makes them feel better about themselves and because there not good at anything. like bullys for example, i lived with it and i still do but i still play and play, then there are those kind of people that think DDR would be cool "only" if it had rap and hip hop, one of my friends was at my house one time and he likes hip hop and rap alot so i showed him Superstar(from nonstop megamix) and asked him if he liked it. he told me theres no Lil Jon in it so he doesnt, i just wanted to slap him soo bad. so what if theres no hip hop or rap, theres trance and techno, and some extras that you wount even think there is. DDR isnt just for the music but its also for the fun, konami diddnt make DDR just so you can hear everyday hip hop, DDR is for unexpected music that you would never hear anywhere else. and thats what makes DDR so fun

As everyone else here, I think there's no link between DDR and one's sexuality. People just think that only girls are allowed to dance. Like a guy should not have fun moving his body around, because guys don't dance.

Noone ever told me I looked gay because I played DDR, but if it ever happens to one of you (talking to guys), just tell em it makes you better at dancing and girls associate great dancing with great sex, if they still don't understand, just hit them .. or not!

You could always point out the fact that you lost 10 pounds because of DDR and look better than him.

The best thing is just not to care about idiots like that and keep playing.
