OK... I have the KatzeExtreme SM theme and am wondering if, on the difficulty select screen, can I a)get rid of the little line between where the two player indicators are, when only using one player? and b)get it to say "select difficulty" and then the choice I make EX. "Heavy Mode" or "Light Mode".

These arent big problems or anything. they just irk me

Goto ..\StepMania\Data\ and search for the StepMania.ini file. Than edit this the file to look like this.:

On that topic, does anyone know how to stop Windows XP from automatically opening a windows explorer window when you insert usb memory? It's really annoying because it minimizes sm and I have to restart it.

when you insert the USB memory and it opens the "What should Windows do?" thing just check the do this each time box and click do nothing

yeah, did that thinking it would work, but my comp insists on opening an windows explorer window every time it pops in. I'm going to try searching around some settings for it.

Actually you dont have to restart SM just Alt-Tab back to it and it should work fine... thats what I do whenever someone sends me an IM when im playn sm.

hmmm... wonder why windows sucks so much... you could always go to win2k or something... XP is the only one that gives you the "what should i do" window...

Well... another question:

How do I get SM to do 1.5x and Reverse but not Dark on the Extra Stage?

Also, does SM do OMES because the KatzeExtreme theme has a graphic for it.

I've been told that, to change extra stage modifiers, you have to change something in the program somewhere, but I never heard what specifically. And yes, SM does do OMES. You have to AA the song it chooses for you for the first extra stage (the song that the selector starts on; it's text is in yellow, if I remember the default color right).

o... so i cant pick my own ES and get OMES...

again if anyone can help with disabeling dark on ES i would appriciate it

To customize the extra stage you need to make a course file called extra1.crs. I'm not sure where you have to put it, but I think it goes in the group folder for the particular group of songs the extra stage applies to. \%stepmania%\songs\ddrmax\
