|
|
I just bought my first dance pad, a soft pad that resembles the Naki DDR2 but hooks up to the serial port of my computer. My problem is that one of the buttons seems to be constantly held down, and I'm not even sure which one it is; also, the left, down, start, and select buttons are registering nothing. I think that I may need to cut it up and look inside, but I'm worried about damaging the pad- if I need to cut it open, should I cut in a # shape or around the outer border of the pad? The store lady said there were no refunds or exchanges, so I'm not worried about voiding the warranty.
Thank you for your advice. |

if it was some cheap soft pad, expect something to be wrong with it if it was under $30, take it apart, im sure it couldn't hurt if your actually careful, but if this breaks, i would invest in an ignition pad, they are much better, or if you can afford it, go all out with a metal pad, but make sure you want to play, and that you will be playing for a while before you take a leap such as that |

Thank you for your help. I checked around the boards, and decided that all my problems would be solved if I stuffed something of sufficient size and worthlessness into the center of the pad. Now my pad has two used Harlequins stuck between the foam and bottom sensor layer with packaging tape. Surprisingly, it helped the arrows respond and got rid of two books the world is better without. It seems that the problems will be solved as long as I am able to disengage the 9th button on the NTPAD driver, which is constantly pressed and I can't for the life of me figure out why.
Could somebody please tell me how to disable button signals for NTPAD, if it is possible? Thank you in advance! |
