Hi, I am thinking about reformatting my computer, and I was wondering if anyone knows a way to save the scores that you got in the game like AA or AAA?
So when I install stepmania again and everything else...my scores will still be in tact and I would not have to replay the songs again to get those good grades?
Confusing post... =(
PLEASE HELP! _________________

In:
Stepmania/Data/MachineProfile/
You'll find two files, among others: Stats.xml and Stats.xsl
You can copy those files onto a flash drive or cd or whatever, then when you reinstall just replace the new Stats files with the old ones. |

Yep, you can, and it's pretty easy. Just go to your Stepmania program folder (ex. C:\Program Files\Stepmania\). Copy the Data folder (yes, all of it) and burn it to a CD or back it up somehow.
Then, after you reformat and reinstall Stepmania, just copy the Data folder back into the Stepmania program folder. If it asks you to replace stuff, say "Yes to All". And voila, there are your scores. This will also carry over your options and your rankings on the ranking screen.
EDIT: Oh, and also, JediJesseS's solution will work if you have no profile and don't really care about the rankings on the ranking screen. _________________

If you have created a profile use the Local Profiles folder in the Machine Data folder. Or just backup the Machine Data folder _________________
