guitar freaks controller question

Hi there I was wondering if anyone knows where to get a good guitar freaks controller? I need one as I just got the game as a gift.

Also another question, on some site I see controllers with 3 buttons while others with 6. Is this a different in the game or does it not matter at all which one to get?
