Roxor Games took the wraps off its work-in-progress followup to the smash hit In the Groove arcade game today at the ASI trade show in Chicago. We'll spare you the wait and just go ahead and list the information you really want to know:

Marathon courses will be returning!
New Novice difficulty level!
All songs from ITG will be returning!

Several DDR fan favorites will also be coming to ITG2, including Bambee's "Typical Tropical" and "Bumblebee", and "Follow The Sun" by Triple J, which is now being renamed to "Sunshine".

The most eye-catching new feature of ITG2, however, is the brand new cabinet design, a joint effort between Roxor Games and Andamiro, the company behind Pump It Up. Upgrade kits for early-adopter Boxor owners will be available, as well as upgrade kits for existing DDR machines.

Great! Follow The Sun is back !

That's a great news, though I haven't tried ITG yet (as none is available here in Québec)

Absolutely. A "Boxor" Upgrade Kit version of ITG2 will be available for those who wish to upgrade their current dance machines, whether they're already an ITG1 or not.

Personally, I was as amazed as everyone else by the new machine. It's still prototype, so changes are still taking place, but you can expect the final product to be just as slick.

For those who are curious, there will be approximately 140 songs total, and over 30 Marathon Courses.

I actually also did a complete review of it myself on Bemanistyle:

But here's some pictures from that post (I have a couple others in my review as well):

Yep, I'm sure we'll see that lawsuit right after Roxor is done suing KCEH for licensing Tough Enough in Ultramix 2.

Edit (Cutriss) - Fixed your quoting so that you're not putting words in my mouth. E10.gif

Smells like a lawsuit.

The only songs that will appear in both DDR and ITG are that licensed songs, or songs that neither side have created themselves.

I dont know if its such a good idea about Andamiro making the ITG cabinets. The *whole* reason Konami sued is over the cabinet design.

EDIT: If all of the rules from the settlement apply, this must mean that Konami is *probibally* getting royalties.

I must be the only one to actually voice their realisation:

The In The Groove 2 cabinet is basically just a modified version of Andamiro's Pump It Up GX-style cabinet~ E10.gif

It still looks really slick<3
