|
|
Okay, I've already busted tendons in both my ankles from DDR. That sucked. But now the other Bemani games are causing me great physical pain, and I'm beginning to realize that Bemani fucking hates my guts.
Dancemaniax- hit my wrist on one of the bottom sensors playing the first time, bled. Got better since then, but the wound is still there.
Guitar Freaks- pulled the guitar back (forget what this is called, because I hate Guitar Freaks) and hit this guy. He was about 6' and had muttonchops. Pushed me around and threatened to cause great misfortune upon my person, or more to the point was going to "frick kill me."
Para Para Paradise- Hah. Man, I hate your guts, Para Para. Making me dance around so much my pants fall down and everyone calls me a "flaming queen." I may be a queen but I am NOT flaming. (jk)
Beatmania IIDX- Now come on. How could Beatmania POSSIBLY hurt me? I play piano, damn it! Did a scratch and cut my finger open. It bled profusely.
Pump it Up is REALLY trying to kill me, though. Performed two consecutive jumps in a row, fell over, hit back, was in pain. Almost as bad as my ankles with DDR.
-----
Here's the thing. I don't get injured easily. I have a pretty resilient body. The only time I get (close to)mortally wounded is when I play Bemani. In fact, the last time I broke my leg pre-my Bemani days was when I was slow dancing. Yeah, you read that right: SLOW DANCING.
I was not born to dance, apparently. Not like that's going to- *trips and breaks back*
...stop me. _________________

wear gloves, knee pads, shin guards, elbow pads, a back brace, and a helmet everytime you get near a bemani/music related machine |

that wasn't a pun dude
The only bemani related injury I've gotten was huge blisters on my feet from DDR. They're all calloused now though. |

Just a tip, Don't play Pop'N Music. XD _________________

How exactly do you cut your finger on the Beatmania/ IIDX turntable? Its not sharp at all, just a record-shaped heavy peice of plastic and metal.
I've succeeded to hurt my left ankle every time I play B4U Light. On singles I freestyle. OOPS. Fall off the pad. Doubles I overstep. OOPS. Fall off the pad. Its the robots fault. *sobs* _________________

Oh, I almost forgot Stepmania.
I made a doubles edit for Kakumei that had a part where you step on the far left arrow and the far right arrow... the splits. Whatever you do, men, do not attempt this on a pad. You will rupture your groin.
By the way, these were all slight exaggerations... just slight, though, I really have hurt myself pretty bad. _________________

Tsuri wrote: | How about trying this : stop being clumsy... that could easily solve your problem | Gee, that is a very good suggestion. I should try that for my B4U Light problem.
Slight exaggerations, eh? No exaggeration here, but I have hurt people while playing Time Crisis 2. Some townie was making fun of me cuz I was shooting correctly, instead of sideways so I'd miss everything like all the townies do, so I spun around and hit him with the butt of the light gun. Townies are bleh... _________________

Next time explain to them why its impossible to hold a gun like that in real life.
You can't aim properly, and you do have more of a risk of breaking your wrist. _________________

You didn't mention any mishaps when playing that game.
So play it; what could possibly happen, you'll get struck down by Zeus's bolt of lightning? |
The sticks might slip out of his hand and hit him in the face. _________________

They are on chains.
Martial beat (Technically *not* bemani, but was music based and used old, leftover DDR cabinets). Just guess. _________________

The chained sticks have given me MAD blisters (and with the way I hold the sticks, my thumb brushes up on the bottom of the stick, where the steel twine sticks out; it's torn up my thumb many times).
I would say Keyboardmania may be the safest Bemani game.
And no, Martial Beat is not safe dammit. They made me kick, and I've pulled a damn groin muscle. It freaking HURT. Maybe they should've put a warning that you should stretch out before playing the game. _________________

I recommend learning how to play them better.
Or, bring a strew of four leaf clovers and horseshoes next time you go to the arcade. _________________

About your kakumei edit.
Me and my friend made a stoic doubles edit that at the end, there was a "ska a go go" type stream that was left on the left side and right on the right side. (I comboed the ending a couple times, lolol) _________________
