Yo you guyz think that race is a factor in DDR skill? I always see the Black man doing pretty well on the game and everyone sayz Yang do well on the pad too but I don't see that many either. What about white people?

What is the best race for playing DDR?

I think this is a smart and a stupid question all in one. Smart cause your looking sorta deep into it but stupid because this will be feeding off of racial steriotypes.

I'm white and do fairly well. I've noticed blacks and asians that do well too. I think it's not possible for any one race to be better at it. Surely there are certain races that have higher rates of better players but they will likely have more players too. The skill is not from the race but rather the individual and their determination and drive to further improve upon their skills in DDR.

When "s" is replaced with "z", that's not the case.

No, I don't think race is a factor. People can (and have) made racial stereotypes of any sort of competitive activity (i.e, black people dominate basketball), so, I don't see why DDR is excluded.

this has got to be the most ignorant post I have ever read....the notion that race has anything to do with success at ddr is ridiculous.

That would be "The Race" by Captain Jack. I think it's on 3rd Mix.

The ignorance of the question is insulting. Race has nothing to do with success in DDR at all. No matter the race of a person they will still advance at their own rate. Excuse me while I fume. devil.gif

I don't think this question is so much ignorant as badly worded.

Being Asian, African American, French and Native American, I can safely say I'm not horrid at DDR. But then again, I agree that my being multi-racial has nothing to do with my skill.

Nor anyone else's.

Blacks
Asians (minus russians, they don't count)
Fat people
Really thin, wirey, lanky freaks
Gays (not the flamboyant ones, but also not the homophobic ones)
are good at DDR.

Yes, race has a lot to do with it.

Yes, this post is part sarcastic and part serious. But in a way, yes, from my observations, it seems there is some kind of mild corellation between certain labels and DDR ability. Not that it makes a difference, or that one influences the other, just that they are slightly related. I've seen many professional dancers who can not play DDR worth beans.
