My mom tried once... at the arcade... and embarassingly, found out why support is necessary for women playing DDR.
Actually... it was kinda emberassing for the whole family. _________________

Be aware that there are a whole bunch of parents here who would be more than happy to kick your butt (DDR-wise, of course) if you think that the idea of old people playing is merely good for comic relief. |

There are certain keys on your keyboard that were put there for a definite purpose. The shift key... the period... and the comma right next to it... Please, start using them.
And when I read the first 11 words of your post, I almost freaked out. "What the hell?!?! You watched this guy get beaten by this dad---oh." |

I always try to get my mom to play. She always goes on all those crazy diets that never work and I tell her to try DDR because it will work. She just rolls her eyes and tells me that she doesn't think making a fool of herself is fun. |

My dad played jet world standard once but he failed.
He says I'm really bad at it even though I get a B on a 9 footer and doesn't beleive it's hard. _________________

I got my mom to play with me several times. She can do up to 4 footers on light. Any 8th steps that come up really confuse her and get her angry. I don't let her try standard just yet, I'm afraid she'll hurt me in her rage. _________________

OMG My dad always embarasses me while i'm playing cause he's always like sh*t I could pass that song with my eyes closed. And i'm like well then go right ahead the mechines there i'm sure every one will be impressed. And then he just goes no cause then after I play you wont want to play LOL. Parents playing DDR is so funny for some reason. _________________

I've been able to get both of my parents try it at home at least a couple of times. Though over Thanksgiving I was able to get my whole family to play, and now my Aunt and Uncle play on a regular basis. |

My mom plays, but will only play in the arcade if the machine is away from sight because she says she feels stupid. _________________

My mom tried playing, but she knows there was no hope. However, I got her to play Taiko No Taijin, with passing grades. _________________
