|

1) I have tried two different dance pads with DWI on my computer, but in both cases, only certain buttons on the pad are recognized when stomped on...specifically, the ones that don't work are the arrows. Can anyone help me with this? I've been having problems with StepMania, so I can't switch to that.
2) Are there any other good PC DDR games besides SM and DWI? If so, what are they and can they use DWI files? |

It's probably your adaptor. If all the other buttons work, and just the arrows don't, then your adaptor likely maps the arrows to joystick axes, meaning that your adaptor is pretty much useless for DDR.
Some adaptors let you change how the arrows are mapped. On many of these, pressing UP+SELECT+START and holding all three for a few seconds switches the adaptor to map to buttons instead. You need to enter this code every time you plug in the pad.
The Stepmania web site has a list of adaptors and indicate which ones map to joystick axes only. If you can find your adaptor there, you can see if it will work or not.
Pydance is also a good DDR emulator that can use DWI and SM files. You can google for it. |
