IRC channels dead?

That's because the only ones there are people that talk in the mornings and then idle the rest of the day. Not enough people know how to get into IRC (or care enough to bother) to join the channel and talk.

Yeah, IRC doesn't stay very active. I idle for the sake of it, sometimes there's some interesting chatter.

If you visit #bemanistyle though (same server) you usually get people talking about fighting games and WoW, if that perks your interest.
