You've never played at an arcade? I feel bad for you. The arcade is one of the greatest parts in the DDR experience.

Some popular ones that I play are:

Sakura
V
Kind Lady
Freckles
A
Exotic Ethnic
Sync
Paranoia Survivor
Cartoon Heroes
Max 300/ Maxx Unlimited

These are the ones that I play mostly. As for a bunch of other people, I'm sure everyone has played Butterfly at least once (or fourty thousand) times.

Any of the Maxs are favorites among highly skilled players who can pass them. Or, theme songs like Dance Dance Revolution, Brilliant2U, D2R, B4U, Burning the Floor, etc. are popular picks.

Those are the songs I like to play and that's pretty much what everyone else plays. But sometime I'll ATEMPT max 300 and fail, but I'm working on that one!

It used to be Butterfly. Everybody and their mothers have played it.

The Bemani artists seem to really like B4U, though.

Butterfly may not be played anymore (especially since the Upswing Mix on 3rd and 4th was so much better), but it certainly is one of the more RECOGNIZABLE songs in the game. A lot of my friends who have never played and only seen the game in passing hear Butterfly and can immediately relate it to "the game where you step on the arrows", probably since it's been around so long.
