It seems like you understand what you want to do with the composition - you changed it more into something you could passively listen to instead of something that is very deliberate.

I would like you to be more aggressive with how you swing in your own compositions with the main theme and don't be afraid to stick your neck out - you can still pay tribute to the piece without outwardly committing it to the foreground.

Sounds like every other Max remix that has ever been done, which means that some DDR fanboy will probably like it enough to make a terrible simfile to it. Well done, sir.

It sounds like the original with a few extra tracks and no stops. Mumdip is right, some fanboy will definitely make a simfile of that and smother it all over ddr sim sites. It's pretty good for someone who's new to remixing.
